PlushCare Cost in 2026: What You Actually Pay
PlushCare charges for three things: the membership, each visit, and the medicine at your pharmacy. The membership fee is not a covered benefit under most insurance plans, so even insured patients pay the $19.99 themselves; the visit is where insurance helps. Current offer: First membership month free.

PlushCare has a 3.4 out of 5 TrustScore from 2,792 Trustpilot reviews and an A rating from the Better Business Bureau, where it has been accredited since December 11, 2014. Doctors get the praise; recurring charges and cancelling get the complaints.

The split is the story. Two thirds of Trustpilot reviewers give five stars and a quarter give one, with almost nothing in between. People either got a quick visit and a prescription, or they found a charge they did not expect.
Trustpilot also flags that PlushCare has not been inviting customers to review recently, so the current pool is mostly people who came to the site on their own. Unprompted reviews lean toward problems, which is one reason the one-star share is high.
Looking for PlushCare weight loss reviews in particular? Trustpilot does not split reviews by service, so GLP-1 patients sit in the same pool as urgent care and therapy patients. The billing pattern below applies to all of them, because every service runs on the same membership.
A BBB letter grade measures how a business handles complaints and its file history, not how good the care is. An A with 323 complaints in three years means PlushCare answers complaints, not that there are few of them.
What reviewers repeat (Trustpilot summary and recent reviews, Oct 17, 2026)
Knowledgeable, thorough doctors
Same-day appointments
Prescriptions sent quickly
Recurring membership charges people did not expect
Trouble cancelling, charges after cancelling
Slow replies on billing disputes
What to do with this
Most complaints are about the $19.99 membership, not the medicine. If you only need one visit, the first month is free, so cancel at least one day before it renews (steps in How to Cancel PlushCare Membership) and keep the confirmation. To compare clinics that bill differently, see best GLP-1 providers 2026.

How to Cancel PlushCare Membership
You cancel PlushCare yourself in your online profile: Payment and Insurance tab, then the cancel link. Do it at least one calendar day before your renewal date, or the next $19.99 charge goes through.
1
Log in with the right email.
Sign in at plushcare.com with the email address you used to create your profile. If the cancel link is missing, PlushCare says the usual reason is a second account under a different email.
2
Open your profile.
Go to your profile and choose the Payment and Insurance tab.
3
Click "cancel your membership".
Follow the prompts to the end of the process, not just the first screen.
4
Time it.
Finish at least one calendar day before the renewal date. On the free first month, that is the day before day 30.
Before you cancel
Take a screenshot of the confirmation screen and check your card statement after the renewal date. If a charge still posts, contact PlushCare at (800) 221-5140 or info@plushcare.com (both listed on plushcare.com/contact). The help center describes cancelling online only; it does not list phone cancellation, so use the profile route and keep the phone for disputes. Cancelling the membership does not cancel a booked visit: a no-show or a change within 2 hours of the visit costs $75.

PlushCare Weight Loss: GLP-1 Prescriptions
PlushCare doctors can prescribe FDA-approved GLP-1s after a video visit and lab work, and the prescription goes to your pharmacy. PlushCare does not ship medication and does not offer compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide.
For weight loss
FDA-approved
Zepbound (tirzepatide)
Wegovy pen and Wegovy pill (semaglutide)
Foundayo (orforglipron)
Saxenda (liraglutide)
Non-GLP-1 options: Contrave, Xenical
For type 2 diabetes
Diabetes indication
Mounjaro, Ozempic, Victoza, Rybelsus
Prescribed for type 2 diabetes, not as weight-loss drugs. Insurers usually cover them only with a diabetes diagnosis; see GLP-1 insurance coverage.
What it takes and costs
Labs + prior auth
Labs before a GLP-1: obesity lab panel $105 at PlushCare's member rate, follow-up panel $85 (help center, Oct 2026)
Prior authorization: 7 to 14 business days on average for branded GLP-1s
Self-pay: PlushCare quotes from $199/mo with a manufacturer card
Manufacturer self-pay as of Oct 2026: Wegovy pill $149 to $299, Foundayo from $149, Zepbound $299 to $449, Wegovy pen $349 ($199 for the first 2 fills at starter doses)
Cheaper with coupons? A PlushCare prescription can be filled through NovoCare, LillyDirect or TrumpRx pricing
The useful part for insured patients is the paperwork. A doctor visit plus a prior authorization is how most plans approve Zepbound or Wegovy, and PlushCare bills the visit to 65+ plans. If your plan says no, the manufacturer prices above are the fallback; see Zepbound cost and Wegovy cost for the dose-by-dose tables.

10 FAQ
PlushCare FAQ
Is PlushCare legit?
Yes. Plushcare, Inc. has operated since 2013, has a BBB A rating and has been BBB-accredited since December 2014; it has been owned by Accolade since 2021, now part of Transcarent. Board-certified doctors see patients in all 50 states plus DC and prescribe FDA-approved drugs only. The weak spot is billing: Trustpilot shows 3.4/5 from 2,792 reviews (Oct 17, 2026), and most one-star reviews are about membership charges and cancelling.
What is PlushCare?
PlushCare is an online primary-care practice: you book a video visit with a board-certified doctor, licensed in all 50 states plus DC, who can treat common conditions and send prescriptions to your pharmacy. It has run since 2013. Access costs a $19.99 monthly membership (first month free) or $99 a year, plus each visit: an insurance copay, typically $30 or less, or $129 without insurance (as of Oct 2026).
How much is PlushCare without insurance?
Without insurance each doctor visit is $129, new or returning patient. The membership is $19.99 a month with the first month free, or $99 a year. Medication is paid at your pharmacy; PlushCare quotes GLP-1s from $199 a month with a manufacturer card. A self-pay first month with a GLP-1 is about $328, and later months without a visit about $219. A no-show or late change costs $75 (as of Oct 2026).
How much does PlushCare cost?
With in-network insurance you pay the $19.99 monthly membership (first month free), which most plans do not cover, plus a visit copay PlushCare says is typically $30 or less, plus your drug copay. Without insurance visits are $129. HSA and FSA cards are accepted. For weight loss, labs run $105 for the obesity panel at member rates, and branded drugs usually need prior authorization of 7 to 14 business days (plushcare.com, Oct 2026).
How do I cancel my PlushCare membership?
Log in at plushcare.com with the email you signed up with, open your profile, go to the Payment and Insurance tab and click the cancel your membership link, then finish every step. PlushCare says to complete it at least one calendar day before the renewal date. If the link is missing, you are probably signed in under a second email. Keep a screenshot of the confirmation and check your next statement.
How do I log in to PlushCare?
Use the PlushCare app or the login link on plushcare.com and sign in with the email you booked with. If you have two emails, try both: PlushCare's help center says a missing cancel link usually means you are in the wrong account. We do not run PlushCare accounts and cannot reset passwords; for account problems, use the contact details in the next answer.
What is the PlushCare phone number?
PlushCare's customer service number is (800) 221-5140 and its support email is info@plushcare.com, both listed on plushcare.com/contact and on its BBB profile as of Oct 17, 2026. The contact page does not list support hours. For billing disputes, have your account email and the charge date ready; for cancelling, the help center points to the online profile rather than the phone.
Does PlushCare prescribe Zepbound?
Yes. Zepbound is on PlushCare's weight-loss list with Wegovy, the Wegovy pill, Foundayo and Saxenda; Mounjaro is listed for type 2 diabetes. The doctor decides eligibility after a visit and labs, and the prescription is filled at your pharmacy. If insurance says no, Zepbound self-pay through LillyDirect is $299 to $449 a month depending on dose (Oct 2026). PlushCare itself quotes GLP-1s from $199 a month with a manufacturer card.
